JOEY DELGADO

Singer, guitarist, producer, songwriter, Joey Delgado has been a member of one of the best and most popular East Los Angeles based blues/rock, Americana, Latin soul bands for 50 years, The Delgado Brothers! Out of the 5 Delgado Brothers studio albums, Joey Delgado has produced all but one; and all the over 50 original songs were composed by Joey D and his band of brothers.

Two Songs written by Steve and Joey Delgado were covered by John Mayall on his release “Along for The Ride.” “If I Don’t Get Home” (Joey is heard on this track playing alongside the late great Gary Moore) and “Something About My Baby.” While representing the Ventura County Blues Society, Joey and the Delgado took first place for the best band and Joey also earned the prestigious IBC’s “Albert King Award” for best band guitarist. There are a lot of great guitar players here in Los Angeles, and beyond, but Joey stands head and shoulders among most of them!

Aside from The DB’s National and International live concerts, Joey D has also been a special guest on numerous recordings and live performances. Not only for his unique approach to electric blues, but also his eccentric acoustic finger style. Additionally, many of the songs written by Joey D, originated as “Acoustic Guitar “compositions, and then were arranged for the electric band. Joey D is now showcasing many of his songs throughout Los Angeles, with an intimate acoustic guitar arrangement that maintains the same soulful delivery as all of his other band tunes. These performances not only feature Joey’s outstanding guitar playing, but also include the insightful lyrics that were written by his little brother Steve Delgado. Plans for a Solo Acoustic Album are in the works.

Joey has also been a featured guest performer with popular nationally touring bands like Deb Ryder and Teresa James and the Rhythm Tramps.

DEB RYDER

Born in Chicago Illinois, she began singing at the age of five joining her Dad, crooner Al Swanson on stage at several popular venues and churches in the area. Debs musical career began in her early teens when her mother moved the family to California and along with her stepfather opened the renowned Rock and Blues club the Topanga Corral. There, she opened for and performed with such legends as Etta James, Big Joe Turner, Taj Mahal and Canned Heat, all regulars at the club. These artists mentored Ryder, and it was then that her vision of herself as a singer, songwriter and performer began to take shape.

"Ryders musical mentors included such greats as Etta James, Taj Mahal and Big Joe Turner. Here, as tunesmith and vocal interpreter, she does those forebears proud, and stands tall alongside them." MATT R. LOHR - LIVING BLUES MAGAZINE

Ryder enjoyed a very successful professional career performing on numerous national television commercials, motion pictures, and Las Vegas musicals, and had a long run as a session artist in L.A. Her first record "Might Just Get Lucky", recorded and produced by Deb and husband, bassist Ric Ryder was released in 2014 on her label BEJEB RECORDS, and put her on the blues radar! She then teamed up with Grammy award winning Producer / drummer Tony Braunagel, and released four critically acclaimed, chart topping records, "Let It Rain", on BEJEB RECORDS in 2013, "Grit Grease & Tears", "Enjoy The Ride" and "Memphis Moonlight" on VizzTone Records from 2015 - 2021. Expect Deb Ryder to continue to imprint her indelible mark on the blues world, now and in the future.
